Description: We own a small farm located in the scenic hills of Kentcky. We are fortunate enough to be situated 5 miles from the beauty of the Cumberland Falls State Park. It is a scenic route that displays the only moonbow in the world. We currently have 16 show and pet llamas with cria due spring 2007. We involve llamas in every aspect of our lives. To name a few aspects, Val spins wool and promotes a line of fleeced items and baskets at shows and town festivals. Steve runs a sharpening service and sharpens clipper blades at home and select llama shows in the region. We believe in raising correctly conformed llamas with a workable spinners fleece, while working to educate people on their unique qualities and benefits of owning llamas.

Description: Llamas of the Bluegrass started in 1999 with two yearling half sisters that we loaded into the back of our Plymouth Voyager van and hit the local show circuit. We still have the two sisters and the herd has grown to 28. Our breeding program has stayed the same - raise tall, correct llamas with excellent dispositions and breed for wonderful fiber and color. We were fortunate to buy SRR Obsidian as our first herd sire. "Sid" is a ROM Champion in halter and get of sire. We have added a Silver Peru grandson, Silvermine, to our breeding program. Silvermine's first cria arrived this spring - 3 cria - 3 girls - 2 silver! We have a beautiful Obsidian son, Black Knight, that will start his breeding career fall of 2007. He has his father's great bone and fiber. We offer outside breeding to our studs and stress the care given to your females while they visit our boys. We have just started having llamas for sale, and usually have a variety available. We still do a little showing and promote llamas at local events and parades. If you are interested in raising llamas, wish to add to your herd or add some excellent bloodlines to your breeding program, we'd love to hear from you.
