Description: I have 15 llamas at present and will have 3 or 4 cria this summer. My farm is in western Colorado and I specialize in helping new people find out how much fun there is in owning llamas. Mine are all trained and are show quality. We do a lot of short hikes and PR events. I spend most of my weekends judging alpaca and llama shows so I don't get a chance to show very much, but when I do, I prefer the performance classes. I try to have one or 2 fun events at the ranch every summer as well as some training seminars. I also have alpacas and paco-vicunas which are a type of alpaca that has the fine fleece traits of the wild vicuna.

Description: Stage Stop Llamas has been in business since 1985 and we have started numerous ranchers in the llama business. They are no longer customers, but rather cherished friends and peers. We pride ourselves on our post-sale service and availability for consultation and support. We stand behind what we sell. We offer stud service to our top quality studs at reduced rates for our customers. We guarantee reproductive ability on breeding llamas and a live birth guarantee on breedings. If a live birth does not occur we will rebreed to the male of your choice. We offer discounts on our regular fees for multiple breedings, breedings to grand champions and repeat breedings. We require all llamas which we finance to be insured for full mortality. Llamas brought back for breeding or boarded for any other reasons, stay at the ranch at a rate of $1.50/day if they were bought from us and $2.00/day (space available) if they were bought elsewhere. If a stud fee is paid, sixty days of board is provided free. All medical expenses, routine shots, pregnancy tests, etc. will be the responsibility of the owner. All llamas which are boarded must be insured for full mortality or a waiver of indemnity must be signed. We keep a library of llama, spinning, weaving, etc. books and articles for our customers and will be happy to research a topic for you and Xerox the information which you need. Let us know of any other services which you would find helpful in starting your llama business. We look forward to a long and prosperous association with you. Llamas are a rewarding investment in every way and we welcome you to the llama industry.
